This is still and by far one of the best black metal albums I've heard. It's rough, it's pure, it's cold and emotional to a point where everything starts to overwhelm you at once. The bluegrass influence was new for me but it made it even more credible. Listen to The Long Road Part 1-3 and tell me your not stunned and blown away by this sheer amount of melancholic storytelling.

This album is like a delirious flight through an eerie forest on humid, late summer afternoon. A helpful but frustrated bird is trying to lead you through the thicket, warning you of the danger lurking in the underbrush, but no matter how hard you try, you lose your way in confusion. Beautiful, menacing, groovy. I love it.
