Disrotted's contribution is a solid if monochromatic assault, but Cloud Rat bring the mad variegated violence they are known for, only this time it's stretched over one 18 minute movement which sounds like the most harrowing private hell being made public. Jurassic Measurez My favorite release of 2017 (I mean thus far, but I'm not holding out for anything better than this)*. I love the idea of splits, but too often one half doesn't measure up to the other. Not here; Disrotted blew me away with their grimy doom (Yeah Chicago!) and if you thought Cloud Rat were a one-trick pony, think again, their dynamic punk display is too big for words like "grindcore"! A perfect blend!
